Digital Image Correlation

We evaluate the deformations of components or test specimens during load tests and other tests by relying on digital image processing.

WHAT WE DO

We determine deformations and movements of an object or surface through the acquisition and analysis of high-resolution images in different phases of a test.

Digital Image Correlation

The Digital Image Correlation (D.I.C.) process involves capturing images of the object before, during, and after a test.

Subsequently, using advanced image processing algorithms, a comparison is made to detect and measure local deformations. This information is then processed to create deformation maps, displacement fields, and other visual representations of the results. With the use of GOM Aramis, we can recreate FEM simulations performed on mathematical models of components and validate them through a direct comparison with results obtained on real components.
